Welcome to our school.
On behalf of our association, we welcome you and your family to the Giru State School community. We feel that our school is a special place and we are confident that you will find the atmosphere and facilities at our school to be to your liking. We have a very active P&C association and are proud of the assistance that we have been able to give to the school over the years.
Please feel free to come to any of our meetings held at the school (please follow our Facebook page for dates and information). The meetings are always well attended and the business is conducted in a relaxed manner. It is also a great opportunity to meet new friends, discuss issues, get involved in decision making with other parents and find out what is going on at the school.
We look forward to meeting you and your family, and welcome your input into our part of the school. We really do encourage you to become involved in the school, as it is a very rewarding experience for both yourself and your children.
The P&C runs a tuckshop, grounds development, grants and pool committee. Your input into these committees is vital for the continued provision of service to our students.
The Giru State School parents and citizens association promotes the interests, welfare and advancement of Giru State School by continuing the close cooperation between the students attending our school, their parents, other citizens and the school staff. The association is a voluntary body fostering community interest in educational matters.
